FAQ
Why to learn French?
The French language is an essential linguistic skill in the global economy. Speaking to over 300 million people in over 50 countries, the language is growing fast and in the world's fastest-growing areas, particularly in Africa. The latest projection is that French will be spoken by 750 million people by 2050! A study by investment bank Natixis even suggests that French could be the most-spoken language in the world by that time, ahead of English and even Mandarin.
The French language is not only considered one of the wealthiest languages in its cultural presence, but it has also laid its roots in several industries across the globe, making it a universal language. The French language is one of the five largest industrial economies in the world. From agriculture to engineering and commerce, France has a traditionally strong economy.
It's the official language in 29 countries and for several international organizations, including the UN, the European Union, Interpol, and the African Union.
Having the French language on your skill will be an asset for yourself or your children. Invest in a language skill that will take you and your corporation to the next level and become a significant player in the world economy.
But French can't be restricted to only business. It's the language of culture and erudition. It was the language of diplomacy and arts. As Tolstoy and many others documented, aristocrats in Imperial Russia spoke French, even amongst themselves.
It's a beautiful language with history; knowing French will open many doors, and we will guide you. Through our classes, you can enjoy every asset of this language.
What can I expect from my online classes?
We lead online classes as qualified teachers: we share learning material and interact with students through video meetings like Zoom.
On this platform, we use the "share screening," notes, highlights, and other online tools that will guarantee an interactive and enjoyable way to learn.
We facilitate student interaction with various features such as video conferences, online exercises, chatboxes, interactive boards, and a wide range of innovative learning.
Still, we consider ourselves "old school" as we will encourage you to copy notes we will send in a notebook with pen and paper. We will also ask you to create sentences using an actual pen, as we know we remember better when using tangible products versus digital documents.
Classes are held one-on-one to ensure a comfortable learning environment for students and a real improvement.
What are the benefits of online classes?
• Learn at your own pace, with the support of your teacher
• More flexibility regarding the schedules and availabilities
• Have fun while learning with innovative digital tools

What are the benefits of your school versus a big organization or private school?
• More flexibility regarding the schedules and availabilities
• We work during weekends, school breaks, and holidays!
• You will always have the same teacher, Samuel or Virginie, so you have a natural follow-up.
• Our packages are more attractive and affordable.
• We run this as a family business, so you support a small and local company.
• We have over twelve years of experience and live in an English-speaking country.
• We continue to create monthly tools (lessons, exercises) regarding new needs or to improve our database. No old and museum piece document with us ;) I'm sure you have the image on your head now.
• We won't ask you to buy expensive books or materials.
How can I maintain my French when I don't live in France?
First, we always told all our students that building a routine is the key! If you schedule your online French classes once or twice a week at a specific time, we will agree that you will create a good learning environment.
We have some students working on shifts. Health Practitioners like nurses and doctors, politicians, military personnel, or business people, we understand your schedule is variable. That's why we created a flexible package you will find here with flexibility.
In addition to our online classes, we strongly recommend planning activities (reading books and magazines, movies, and apps with exercises…) to hear, read, and practice French.
We will send you recommendations.
How can I improve my French Pronunciation?
You'll have to interact with actual humans at some point, preferably sooner rather than later!
Of course, speaking with natives can be intimidating; some sounds can be particularly tricky, and almost everyone gets nervous when doing this!
The first tip we can give you is that French people love accents: they're charming and authentic.
Once you know that, you can relax.
And once you are relaxed, you speak with more facility.
That being said, the pronunciation is something else. During our classes, we will explain the logic of sound and how French buildings sound depending on letter association and syllables.
We like to give explanations and rules as if there is logic so you will remember them easily.
Pronunciation is important - making the wrong sound would be confusing and create funny situations.
The best way to build up your confidence and get expert feedback on your pronunciation is to take regular lessons with native French tutors like us.
We'll make you feel comfortable and help you master those sounds and words you struggle with, thanks to the specific text we create.
Do I need to buy books or other resources?
We suggest buying one grammar book depending on your level and needs. That's it! We will provide all resources, including lessons we are creating ourselves, exercises, texts, etc...
Can I ask for a free class before register?
Before registering, we will ask to meet you online during a video call. During that video call, I will show you all the tools we are working with, examples of lessons, and exercises. I will also evaluate your level (even if you are a beginner) by asking specific questions and showing you basic notions. That introduction takes around 30 minutes. I will then reply to any questions to ensure we are a good service for you.
How can I register and pay? Can I meet you before signing up?
First, contact us via the form. We will reply in less than 48 hours, so check your email and ensure it's not in your spam folder.
We will organize a video call to get to know each other, see your goals and motivations, and evaluate your level. We will also check our schedules and the best package for you.
You can pay online via e-transfer, wave, or PayPal.
